This gorgeous cross pendant incorporates a rainbow of colorful glass beads! It is a unique, chunky eye catcher created by artisans in the Himalayas of India using Fair Trade practices.
The beads are hand knotted into place in this multi strand necklace. It is crafted from locally sourced beads and metals. A knot separates each bead from the next, which helps to protect the glass beads, show them off, and creates a look of spaciousness. The black beading string is soft, flexible, and thick. The piece is lighter than it looks, sitting comfortably around your neck. Keep in mind that the color tones in your unique necklace may vary slightly from what is pictured.

About the Artisans
A group of brave and talented female artisans in the Himalayan mountainous region of India create this piece. The Short Stay Home is a cooperative helping women become independent after being victims of child marriage. They earn a living by making jewelry and other ornaments, as they learn additional artisan skills. Some of the artisans even have full-time jobs outside of their shelter and craft the jewelry in their spare time. All of their work reflects their perseverance, talent and ethnic art of the region. The artisans are compensated fairly for their work. By supporting these artisans through fair trade, you are helping this group of women become independent, self-sufficient and live a life they deserve.
